The value of textiles and apparel exports from the northwestern city of Bursa reached 1.5 billion USD.
According to data of the Uludağ Exporters’ Unions, the textiles and apparel exports from Bursa had been 578.8 million USD with an increase of 7,2 percent in 2006.
In textile sector goods were exported to 9 free zones 116 countries and autonomous areas while in apparel sector goods were exported to 7 free zones and 98 countries and autonomous zones.
Germany, Russian Federation, Romania, Italy and England were the countries where most of exports from Bursa was directed to.
