“Turkey is a success story of World Bank,” said Paul Wolfowitz, the bank’s president.
Wolfowitz noted that there has been a great transformation in Turkey in recent years, stressing that the country achieved significant successes and fulfilled important reforms.
Wolfowitz underlined that Turkey that successfully implemented programs of World Bank, stating that Turkey also assured a great economic growth. Recalling that he would travel to Turkey tomorrow, Wolfowitz said that  Turkish authorities and he would discuss recent economic developments. Wolfowitz indicated, “I believe that if Turkey keeps implementing structural reforms, it will be among the most prosperous economies of its region and the world.”
Babacan to meet Wolfowitz on Sunday

Turkish State Minister and EU chief negotiator Ali Babacan will meet World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz, who will pay a visit to Turkey, over a luncheon on Sunday, his office announced. According to a statement by his office, Wolfowitz will arrive in Turkey tomorrow. Babacan and Wolfowitz will have a working lunch together in Turkish commercial hub of Istanbul on Sunday, and are expected to hold a joint press conference after this meeting.
