Turkish State Railways (TCDD) has made an international tender invitation for procurement of 80 units of electric locomotives and the spare parts at 5 pct of the total amount, and a simulator unit.

Bid submission deadline has been set as March 30,  2007 in the tender. Tender dossiers may be obtained at a price of YTL 1,500 from the address: TCDD İşletmesi Genel Müdürlüğü Malzeme Dairesi Baskanligi Cer Loko Siparis Sube Müdürlügü Talatpasa Bulvari 06330 Gar-Ankara (Tel:0312 3090515/4149 – Fax: 312 3115305 – email: malzeme@tcdd.gov.tr).

Contenders will have to provide credits covering 65pct of their bid prices.

TCDD also stipulates that aside from 5 units delivered first, at least 35 pct domestic content by input prices will have to be fulfilled for the remaining 75 units.

No domestic content is required for the simulator procurement.

The bid prices will be in Euro.
