BOTAŞ, the state oil&natural gas pipelines and natural gas imports company, has collected bids at its tender for completion of abandoned works at Turkey-Greece natural gas pipeline project Turkey part.
The state company had terminated the contract with  BAYINDIR İnşaat AŞ + SUTEK consortium after the undertaker ran into financial problems and failed to meet its obligations. This consortium had won the tender in July 2005.
BOTAŞ cancelled an ensuing tender held on January 17, 2007 for the completion of aborted works in the project due to high price bids of the contenders.
At the third BOTAŞ tender in the project in which 10 participants applied for prequalification by January 26, 2007, 4 companies submitted bids actually by the deadline of February 1, 2007, while other contenders presented thanking letters.
The companies and their bids prices in the tender are:
(1)-MESCİOĞLU İNŞAAT LTD.
Bid price : 5.700.000 $
(2)-METİN YILMAZ İNŞAAT LTD.
Bid price : 8.050.000 $
(3)-ÖZTAŞ İNŞAAT AŞ
Bid price : 8.500.000 $
(4)-İNDET İNŞAAT LTD.
Bid price : 9.363.500 $
