Turkish State Railways (TCDD) has extended the bid submission deadline at its international tender for commissioning superstructure & electromechanical works at its Ankara-Konya high-speed train project.
EkoTürk correspondent reports that the deadline in the tender has been extended to March 20, 2007 from February 28, 2007. Near 20 companies have bought tender dossiers, so far. Tender dossiers are available at a price of YTL 3,000 from the TCDD Materials Department in Ankara.
Meanwhile, a document containing changes made at the tender dossiers has been sent to companies which bought them previously.
The Transportation Ministry has decided to finance the project with own funds of the state. Tender scope works include superstructure works of supply&installation of rails, sleepers, the ballast, etc,; and design, supply&installation of electromechanical works, signalization, and telecommunication systems. Tender scope works are required to be completed within 540 calendar days.
Forming a consortia is allowed in the tender. No price advantage shall be granted to domestic contenders.
The cost of the project is estimated to be $280 million.
