According to AEA, THY has been named as the fastest-growing national airline by a 25.3 percent increase in passenger traffic, 27.7 percent rise in flight miles and 23.5 percent upswing in capacity over the same period of last year.
Swiss International, LOT Polish Airlines and Tarom Romanian airline companies followed THY.
In the first month of this year, THY ranked the 8th in the list of biggest airlines companies with 1.27 million passengers, while Air France was the first with 3.84 million passengers and Lufthansa second with 3.69 million.
