The Eurasian Economic Summit organized annually by the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation will be held in Istanbul on 2-4 May 2007 at the Conference Hall of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce. The summit aims to explore ways of enhancing relations between the European Union and the Countries of Central Asia and the Middle East.

The summit will start with Energy Session where the participants will discuss Turkey’s energy policies and strategies with the concept of the energy station and Turkey’s position in the energy market in Europe.

The reserves, investments and latest situation in the energy market of Central Asia, Middle East, Caucasus, Russian Federation and Balkans and the energy policies in EU countries with the frame of Turkey’s conformity to the European Union will also be reviewed.

The summit includes a session with EU which celebrates its 50 years and Black Sea Economic Cooperation which is in its 15 years.

In the last session, participants are expected to analyze the Economic Cooperation Opportunities and Perspectives to the future in Eurasia and discuss the dimensions of Eurasia-US-EU economic cooperation.
