Motor giant Ford ranked as Turkey’s most valuable brand, with a “brand value” of YTL 2.28 billion. The research into the most valuable brands in Turkey was carried out by consultation company Brandfinance on behalf of finance magazine Capital.
Turkcell took second place with a YTL 1.95 billion brand value and Petrol Ofisi (POAŞ) ranked third with YTL 1.9 billion. The results of this research were published in the May 2007 issue of Capital. Some 211 companies were investigated, evaluating their five-year net sales and net operating profits between 2002 and 2006. Brandfinance Turkey General Manager Muhterem İlgüner said that this type of research, which was being done for the first time in Turkey, would create new and useful discussions in the business world.
