As the driving force of Turkey’s exports, Turkish automotive sector’s exports grew 34 percent in the first five months of this year and reached 7.78 billion USD.
This has been a new record for automotive manufacturers since 2003.
According to Uludağ Exporters’ Association’s (UİB) figures, automotive manufacturers sold their products to 162 countries and autonomous regions.
Exports mainly destined to European countries. Germany has been the major importer of Turkish automotive products while Italy, France, Britain and Spain were the other leading importer countries.
