One of the principal business districts in Istanbul, Maslak, frequently appears on the agenda with stories of traffic jams in the area.

New plazas here are almost full; finding places for sale is almost impossible. However, new housing projects are on the way to relax personnel working in Maslak plazas. Yasin Geçim of Century 21,a real estate office, said office flats in the district are leased for $15-25 per square meter and they are around $15 at Veko Giz Plaza and $25 at Nurol Plaza. Flats and shops are in demand at Uso Center, he added; however, it is impossible to find any place for sale. Plazas in Maslak will soon be full. But the Mashattan project for 1,800 luxury residences will ease the traffic problem through offering housing for personnel working at Maslak plazas primarily. The Veko Giz Plaza offer quake resistant flats constructed with state-of-the-art technology. The 22-storey plaza, 700 square meters each, is a smart building located in Maslak. Başakşehir is another developing district on the European side of Istanbul. Property owners here were involved in an unusual trading campaign at the end of 2007. They now are busy with trading old houses for new ones in Missistanbul Evleri.
