Top international economists to meet in Turkey

Turkey will host the 15th World Congress of the International Economic Association (IEA), a triennial event that will gather famous economists in Istanbul on June 25.
The main theme of the congress will be “Challenge of Globalization” and it will discuss several topics that effects whole world such as, recent crises in emerging markets, financial globalization and global instability as well as brain drain.
IEA President Guillermo Calvo, Professor Dani Rodrik from Hard University, Professor Maurice Obstfeld from the University of California, Berkeley, and Ronald Findlay from Columbia University, who are among the world’s most significant economists, will make keynote speeches at the congress.
Economists from notable universities around the world such as Columbia, MIT, Harvard, Yale, Stanford and Princeton will take part in the event together with other economists from several countries such as United States, Turkey, China, Japan, India, Argentina, Mexico, Hungary, France and Norway.
