Turkey’s automotive production increased by 56.2 percent in January 2008 over the same period last year with an output of 113,316 vehicles, an association of automotive manufacturers said Wednesday.

Car production was also up by 51.8 percent to reach 61,509, and sales rose by 37.7 percent.

In January, automotive exports grew 70 percent and reached 86,587 motor vehicles
