This May JNR Fuarcılık will be holding its annual luxury real estate fair, and says 2008 will top last year’s fair. The A Plus Real Estate Fair is Turkey’s only luxurious real estate fair. National and international residences worth $50 billion will be exhibited in a 4,000-square-meter area at Istanbul’s  Hilton Exhibition Center between May 3-4.

More than 500 residences were sold at last year’s fair, the first A Plus Real Estate Fair. Some 10,000 people are expected to visit the fair this year. Demand for A Plus residences is an increasing trend, especially in Istanbul, said Saadet Ada, co-chairman of the executive committee of JNR Fuarcılık, which hosts the fair. More modern projects are attracting the attention of A Plus customers as a result of various residence needs, said Ada, who added that projects in Turkey have the advantage of appealing to both national and international customers. The most obvious indicator of this, he said, is the figures for recent house sales to foreigners.

“Economic instability does not exceed a certain limit, although it fluctuates around the world. The economic indicators in our country, which mark stability, increase our hopes for the sector in 2008. We believe that the sector, which will grow this year despite everything, will be an impulsive force for the national economy. We also think the economic indicators that will be fully formed in April will play an important role in determining demand in the sector,” Ada said.
