Turkish Finance Ministry said Wednesday February saw a budget surplus of 1.2 million new Turkish liras (YTL). It was the first surplus in this month in 20 years.

Primary surplus in February rose 98.5 percent over the last year to reach some 5.7 million YTL, whereas budget revenues grew 33.2 percent and stood at 17.6 million in February 2007. (1 USD equals 1.22 YTL)
