IATA to meet in Istanbul on June 1
Istanbul is preparing to host the 64th General Assembly of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
A press release issued by IATA said the General Assembly would begin with major celebrations.
Stating that financially it had been an important year for the air transportation industry, Concil said overall air carriers globally earned $5.6 billion.
IATA reported the rise in efficiency and the growth in economies compensated for the rise in fuel prices.
The World Air Transport Summit will be held simultaneously with IATA’s General Assembly between June 1-3.
