After gaining prominence not only in Turkey but also across Europe and Russia, Turkish luxury hotel brand Rixos has entered the Southeast Asian market with a resort hotel in Thailand’s coastal town of Khao Lak.
The five-star Rixos Premium Khao Lak Hotel will start taking reservations this August, and the first guests will be welcomed in November 2008. The hotel has 300 rooms and suites, with a number of dining options designed to cater to a wide variety of tastes. Along with the accommodation, Rixos Premium Khao Lak Hotel will offer a wellness center aimed at reflecting the peaceful atmosphere of the area, while offering unique treks and relaxation.
The Rixos hotel will be the first all-inclusive accommodation in the region. The hotel is expecting to draw guests from around the world, especially from East Asia, Europe, Russia and the Americas. Rixos predicts that most of its customers will come from the high and middle income brackets.
Rixos founder and Chairman Fettah Tamince said the company is excited to be entering the Southeast Asian market, especially at such a prime location as Thailand. In a written statement released to announce the new property, Tamince noted that Rixos would provide a hotel concept that is different than any other accommodation currently in Thailand. “Our concept is different from that of other hotel chains and certainly unique in this region. I look forward to the upcoming opening and also being involved in the bright and promising hotel industry in Southeast Asia,” stated Tamince. Rixos has implemented a large number of successful projects in the tourism sector. Starting his career as a carpet dealer, entrepreneur Tamince has become a market leader in the tourism business by making critical decisions at the right time. He said his success is based on the concept of combining a youthful, dynamic and specialist perspective with an international business vision. Rixos currently operates eight hotels in four countries.
